Head-on crash in Palmyra leaves one driver in critical care

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — A car crash in Palmyra left one driver in critical care, according to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies said the crash happened on Whitbeck Road when the driver crossed into the oncoming lane of traffic and collided head-on with another vehicle.

The driver of the other vehicle was evaluated on the scene and released, but deputies said the at-fault driver was flown by Mercy Flight to a nearby hospital. He is currently in critical care.

It’s not known if drugs or alcohol were factors in this crash. The cause remains under investigation.
