ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) – Genesee County Sheriff’s arrested two men following a Larceny at a Dicks Sporting Goods in Batavia, and a high-speed car chase down the NYS Thruway.

According to GCSO, the two men had attempted to steal a large amount of merchandise from the Dick’s location around 4:21 p.m. and fled the store in a silver Honda Accord.

Deputies attempted to stop a vehicle matching the description, and it fled shortly after meeting the intersection of State Route 98 and Park Road.

GCSO says the pursuit continued onto the NYS Thruway where the suspects began to discard stolen property during the chase. Eventually, the chase continued onto 490 Eastbound in LeRoy where deputies were able to stop the vehicle with help from the New York State Police and the LeRoy Village Police Department.

The two men, Supreme Hines and Eric Ball Jr. were identified and arrested shortly after.

The two were charged with Tampering with Physical Evidence, Attempted Grand Larceny (4th), Criminal Possession of Stolen Property (5th), Obstructing Governmental Administration (2nd) and Conspiracy (6th). Hines was also charged with Unlawful Fleeing a Police Officer in a Motor Vehicle (3rd).

Hine was also issued multiple Uniform Traffic Tickets and was held for Genesee County Court. Ball was issued an appearance ticket for Batavia Town Court. He is due to appear on November 12.
