ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — A five-year-old child is in the hospital following a crash involving a school bus in Steuben County.

The crash happened Wednesday on Rt. 417 in the Town of Erwin. New York State Police said the driver of a Dodge was heading east when she did not stop for a school bus. The driver struck the back of a Toyota, which in turn hit the side of the bus.

The bus driver and passengers were not injured, but the child in the Toyota had to be airlifted to Strong Memorial Hospital. The child is in stable condition.

The driver of the Dodge was not injured, but she was issued three traffic infractions.

Cleary him or her wasn’t paying attention and her careless actions cause a 5 year old little boy or girl to be air lifted to strong!!! And they walk away with some tickets to appear in court!!! They definitely don’t need to be driving after this at all!!! Pay attention to all car especially a school bus!!!!
