ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — The Rochester Police Department announced the arrests of three people in separate gun-related incidents on Wednesday.

    11 a.m.

The first arrest happened at 11 a.m. on Hollenbeck Street. Officers were responding to a reported fight. It was learned a woman in a white Mercedes threatened someone with a pink handgun.

The suspect’s vehicle was found on Avenue C and after a traffic stop, officers uncovered more evidence the driver had the pink gun. They later found the loaded handgun in the front yard of a nearby home. The gun was reported stolen in 2022 from Mississippi.

The suspect, 46-year-old Lashannod Rooks is not allowed to possess a gun in New York due to previous convictions. She has been charged with second-and-third-degree criminal possession of a weapon and second-degree menacing.

    7:45 p.m.

The second arrest was carried out by officers from the Violence Prevention Section, who made a traffic stop on West Main Street around 7:45 p.m. They said they found a loaded revolver in the car.

The driver, 25-year-old Darryl Washington, was arrested and charged with second-degree criminal possession of a weapon and violations of traffic law.

    8:45 p.m.

An hour later, officers stopped a Dodge Charger on Pomeroy Street and said the driver, 37-year-old Timothy Nathan, did not have a valid driver’s license due to 11 suspensions. Furthermore, officers found a loaded handgun inside the car.

Nathan has been charged with second-and-third-degree criminal possession of a weapon, second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, and traffic violations.

All three suspects were taken to the Monroe County Jail.
