Primetime 585 Shining Star: Benjamin Newman

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — It’s time for our Primetime 585 Shining Star spotlight, where we introduce you to some student athletes who are brightening up our community!

Today we’re highlighting the quarterback of East Rochester’s football team – Benjamin Newman!

He’s a senior who holds a 4.0 GPA.

Ben is captain of the football team, and earned the title as the career leader for touchdowns this past week. Last year he was also the Section V Player of the Year in class C offense.

Ben tells us he has multiple offers to play football in college, but hasn’t made a decision just yet.
