ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — A theft investigation in the Town of Sweden led to the arrest of three people and the recovery of a ghost gun.

On Monday, the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office was investigating a larceny that happened at the Lowes in Sweden. They received a description of the suspect and the vehicle he took off in.

Deputies found a car matching the description on Rt. 531 in Gates. Deputies said they found stolen merchandise in the Honda Civic and accused 44-year-old Samuel Siplin of stealing from the store.

Furthermore, the front-seat passenger of the car, 35-year-old Amber Page, was allegedly in possession of a loaded ghost gun and did not have a pistol permit. Deputies added that the driver, 31-year-old Terry Kennedy, had a suspended driver’s license.

All three suspects were arrested. Page was charged with second-degree criminal possession of a weapon, Siplin was charged with petit larceny, and Kennedy was charged with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.

Page was arraigned and taken to the Monroe County Jail. Siplin and Kennedy were released on appearance tickets.
