Celebrations on Park holds ribbon cutting

BINGHAMTON, N.Y. (WIVT/WBGH) — A local family is celebrating a new place for people to mark their own special occasions with a renovation of a Southside institution.

Celebrations on Park held a ribbon cutting and reception yesterday, May 14, with local dignitaries and special guests. Owners Nicole Travis, Danielle Sepe Yurka and Justin Sepe have transformed the former Knights of Columbus on Park Avenue in Binghamton into a high end events center.

The partners showed off their team of chefs, servers and bartenders with an array of hors d’oeuvres and drinks. The 5,000 square-foot interior with a sleek and industrial design seats up to 250 people and can hold a total of 315.

Travis says Celebrations on Park gives Greater Binghamton a stylish new venue to hold wedding receptions, banquets and corporate events.

“Our vision began three years ago, when we saw an opportunity to restore a Southside gem. Revitalize it, while still preserving its essence while still creating something beautiful for our community to use. With great care and attention to detail, our family worked hard on our project developing and growing our idea to finally open our gorgeous new establishment,” Travis said.

The reception included live music from local musician Kevin Ludwig. In addition to the stage, there’s a modern audio visual system for business meetings or streaming receptions so that out-of-town relatives can join in the fun.
