Great Women of Royalty celebrate ribbon cutting

BINGHAMTON, N.Y. (WIVT/WBGH) – The non-profit, Great Women of Royalty held a ribbon cutting in front of their brand-new seminar and workshop room in Binghamton.

Great Women of Royalty Inc. connects individuals with resources and educates people on finances, nutrition, and life choices.

They conduct workshops on topics such as career development and provide mentoring and support groups to those who need it.

The organization held a ribbon cutting ceremony outside of their new building at 87 Walnut Street in Binghamton.

Elder and President, LaVonda Stevens says the services are available to everyone, not just women.

Elder LaVonda Stevens says, “Educating the people, as well as getting the resources that they need. For instance, education, like, if people don’t have their GED’s or adults don’t have their diplomas or they want to go back to school to college. Or finances, people like to spend, they don’t know a lot about saving or investing.”

The organization is always accepting donations to fund their mission and empower women in our community.

LaVonda says that she is looking for partnerships and sponsorships with other organizations.
