Lofts at JC luxury apartments rebrands to Grand Monarch

JOHNSON CITY, NY (WIVT/WBGH) – A luxury apartment building in Johnson City underwent a remodel and now goes by a different name.

The Lofts at J.C. located on Grand Ave has been remodeled and is now the Grand Monarch, Luxury Boutique Living.

The remodeling happened during COVID.

There are 24 units, varying in size, some with just one bed and one bath, others with 3 beds and 3 baths.

The owner, Praveen Kamath says each apartment has up to date appliances, including a washer and dryer, and all utilities are included.

Plus, there’s a fitness center, and a game room with a pool table, TV and ping pong.

Kamath says the Grand Monarch is perfect for people who just want to come home and relax, without worrying about household chores.

“We are the only luxury product in the tri-cities area that’s only 24 units. We offer grandeur living with a very very homey, cozy feeling. All of the tenants here get along very well, it’s a very nice, quiet building. It’s a place for someone to work, play, whatever they do, and come and just relax,” Kamath.

The Grand Monarch also houses some of the players for both the Binghamton Rumble Ponies and the Black Bears during the season.

The rebranding is still underway, and Kamath says the Grand Monarch’s new website should be up and running in a week or so.
