    Police seize nearly 50 grams of meth from suspicious vehicle in Binghamton

    BINGHAMTON, N.Y. (WIVT/WBGH) – One person was arrested on Thursday after Binghamton Police located narcotics while searching a suspicious vehicle.

    At approximately 2:20 a.m., a patrol observed a vehicle parked in the parking lot of 211 Main Street. When the officer approached the vehicle, he found two people sleeping inside with drug paraphernalia in plain view. Subsequently, the officer searched the occupants and the vehicle, locating 47.94 grams of methamphetamine.

    As a result, Logan Tribe-Filhart, 23, of Binghamton was charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Fourth Degree.

    Following his arrest, members of the Broome County Special Investigations Unit Task Force executed a search warrant at Tribe-Filhart’s residence at 73 South Washington Street. As a result of the search warrant, investigators located items used for packaging narcotics.

    Tribe-Filhart was further charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Third Degree and Criminal Using Drug Paraphernalia in the Second Degree.
