    Small Business Administration offering disaster loans for local organizations

    (WIVT/WBGH) – Sticking with the Small Business Administration, the organization has opened up applications for Economic Injury Disaster Loans after severe weather last month.

    The SBA says most private and non-profit organizations of all sizes, including small agricultural co-ops are eligible for the disaster loan.

    The applications are available for organizations impacted by severe weather beginning on July 10. Loans are limited at $2 million, however, the SBA says if a business is a major employer, it has the authority to waive the limit.

    The maximum interest rate for the loan program is 4%
