Design the logo for this year’s Pink Patch Project

TOWN OF DICKINSON, NY (WIVT/WBGH) – The sheriff’s office is calling on all artists to create a new logo for the department’s annual breast cancer fundraiser.

The Broome County Sheriff’s Office is promoting the Pink Patch Project, a national campaign to raise awareness and funds for families fighting cancer.

Last year, over 80 members of the sheriff’s office sported pink badges and patches to spread the word.

Last year’s campaign raised over $4,500 that was donated to the Community Foundation and the Tina Fund.

This year, officer Jennifer McPeek is asking the community to design a 2-color logo that incorporates both the Pink Patch Project and the Sheriff’s Office.

“This year we decided to involve the community in a different way. By asking for your help to design a new logo for 2024, that will be featured on all of our apparel that we will sell in our store to raise money for the Pink Patch Project. The winning artist will be recognized on our site, and also be presented with a sweatshirt and item of their choice, that will feature their artwork that they created,” says McPeek.

The deadline to submit a logo design is before September 13th. The winning logo will be featured on apparel for the project’s online store.

All proceeds from this year’s campaign will be donated to Traci’s Hope, a local organization that supports local families fighting breast cancer.
