JOHNSON CITY, NY (WIVT/WBGH) – As of today, there’s a new banking option in Johnson City with the grand opening of Tioga State Bank, kitty corner to the Oakdale Commons.

Tioga State Bank officially opened its 5th Broome County location next door to Wegmans in Johnson City at 716 Harry L. Drive.

The bank held a soft opening earlier this week but held the official ribbon cutting ceremony this morning.

The building has plenty of office space, and natural light.

The CEO of Tioga State Bank, Robert Fisher, says there’s two drive up teller machines that allow for customers to video call with a teller for a more engaging experience.

“Do all the normal banking services and full-service office. We also have two drive up ITM’s, which is somewhat new. The ITM’s, it’s an Interactive Teller Machine, so, unlike an ATM, it has a video connection so you can actually talk to a teller,” says Fisher.

The J.C. location is open, and fully operational.

The ITM machines will be open Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Fisher says coming up in the Fall, the bank plans to open an in-school student office for the students and staff at Johnson City High School.

Tioga State Bank is also celebrating its 160th anniversary this year.
