Stand With Me hosting fundraiser to provide local veterans with service dogs

PORT CRANE, N.Y. (WIVT/WBGH) – A non-profit organization is inviting the community to join it for a paw-some day of food, fur, and fun as it raises money to fund its services.

Stand With Me Assistance Dog Training is hosting Paws and Pints at Beer Tree Brew Farm on September 14. From 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., guests will be able to enjoy craft beers as well as dog themed activities and entertainment such as live music, raffles, vendors, demonstrations, pet contests, and more.

Proceeds from the event will support the program’s efforts to serve veterans who have a service-related mental health disability by training their dogs to be service animals. They also assist in obtaining a canine candidate for the program if they do not already own a dog.

The event is free to attend and will take place rain or shine.
