    Man arrested for attempted murder after Hancock shooting

    Update: New York State Police announced that Robert Trago Jr, 60, of Hancock was located just before 3 p.m. in the Margaretville area.

    Trago Jr. was taken into custody and ultimately charged with Attempted Murder in the Second Degree, a C lass A-I felony and Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Third Degree , a Class D felony .

    He was taken to Binghamton for processing and remanded to the Delaware County Jail for arraignment


    Update: New York State Police confirmed one person was airlifted to Albany Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries . The incident is said to have occurred around 8 a.m. Wednesday morning.

    NYSP says the investigation is still ongoing.

    HANCOCK, N.Y. (WIVT/WBGH) – A shooter is currently barricaded in a residence on State Highway 268 near Hancock, New York State Police confirms.

    According to State Police, one person has been shot.

    State Police and the Delaware County Sheriff’s Office are at the scene.
