    Entry forms now available for annual Scarecrow Contest and Display

    TOWN OF DICKINSON, N.Y. (WIVT/WBGH) – With fall quickly approaching, an annual competition is now opening to applicants.

    The Annual Broome County Parks, Recreation, and Youth Services Scarecrow Contest and Display is back for its ninth year. Held at Otsiningo Park, individuals, families, businesses, clubs, groups, and organizations can create a friendly scarecrow for a chance to win prizes.

    Entry forms are due by September 25. Scarecrows must be completed and set up at the park by October 1.

    The event will take place from October 1 to October 23. During this time, community members can cast their vote for their favorite scarecrow. Prizes will be given to top five most voted scarecrows.

    The event is sponsored by the Broome County Stop-DWI Program.
