Milford woman charged with abandoning several animals

MILFORD, N.Y. (WIVT/WBGH) – A Milford woman is being accused of mistreating and abandoning several animals.

The Otsego County Sheriff’s Office announced the arrest of Whitney Bachanas, 43, following a welfare check at a residence on County Highway 35 in the Town of Milford.

According to the Sheriff’s Office, there were several animals in and around the residence that were found to be abandoned, malnourished, and mistreated.

Bachanas was issued appearance tickets. She is set to appear in court at a later date.
