DELHI, N.Y. (WIVT/WBGH) – An Oxford woman is being accused of possessing narcotics with the intent to sell them in the Village of Sidney.

District Attorney Shawn Smith announced that Darcee Lewis, 41, was indicted on four charges including Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Third Degree, a Class B Felony; Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Seventh Degree, a Class A Misdemeanor; and two counts of Criminal Use of Drug Paraphernalia in the Second Degree, both Class A Misdemeanors.

Based on information provided to them by New York State Parole Officers, the Village of Sidney Police executed a search warrant at a residence in Sidney on August 14. Upon investigation, officers located methamphetamine and fentanyl along with scales, loaded needles, and packing materials.

It is alleged that Lewis possessed these items with the intent to sell them.

Lewis was arraigned by the Honorable John Hubbard, Delaware County Court Judge. After hearing arguments from both the District Attorney’s Office and the defense, Hubbard set Lewis’s bail at $25,000 cash and $50,000 bond.
