BINGHAMTON, N.Y. (WIVT/WBGH) – Congressman Marc Molinaro’s Think Differently initiative gave members of the local disability community a chance to share their artwork during the 2024 LUMA Projection Arts Festival last weekend.

Molinaro partnered with disability service providers such as Springbrook, ACHIEVE, Community Options, and Help Celebrate Abilities (HCA) for the Think Differently exhibit on Friday and Saturday. As part of the initiative, members of the local disability community created and submitted artwork that was later projected onto the old CVS building in downtown Binghamton during the festival.

“The Think DIFFERENTLY exhibit at LUMA highlights the incredible talent and creativity of individuals with disabilities, who too often are not given the opportunity to showcase their gifts. This festival provides a powerful platform for their work, and I’m proud to partner with organizations like Springbrook, ACHIEVE, Community Options, and HCA to help make that happen. Together, we are challenging perceptions and breaking down barriers, creating a more inclusive community where everyone’s abilities are recognized and celebrated,” said Molinaro.

Since its inception in 2015, Molinaro’s Think Differently initiative has worked to break down barriers for individuals with intellectual, developmental, and physical disabilities. Since coming to Congress, the representative has built off of the nationally recognized by introducing the bipartisan Think Differently Legislative Package.
