BINGHAMTON, N.Y. (WIVT/WBGH) – After making the NJCAA Region 3 Championship game for the past 5 straight seasons in Women’s Volleyball, the SUNY Broome Hornets are looking to continue their dominance for the 2024 season.

In the first of two matches on Saturday, the Hornets fell to Herkimer in a close one, 3 sets to 0 (25-22, 25-20, 25-16). Kate Spencer finished with 11 kills in that one.

In the second of their two matches, they bounced back. They took down Mohawk Valley Community College in dominating fashion with a sweep of their own (25-6, 25-11, 25-11). Amariah Argro had 8 kills to add to Kate Spencer and Lejla Cehic’s 5 aces apiece. Argro scored 11 of the team’s 41 block points.
