JOHNSON CITY, N.Y. (WIVT/WBGH) – In Johnson City, both boys and girls teams were facing off against the Elmira Express.

The Wildcats girl’s team was looking to bounce back after two losses away from home.

Midway through the second half, 1-0 Express, Sarah McGlynn comes out of her net but gets beat, but she’s able to recover and tip it behind for a corner. She made numerous big saves for Johnson City.
Later, it’s Belle Pack for the Express, who turns on the burners, no one can catch her, and she chips a sliding McGlynn to tally another onto their lead.
Then, a great ball to the foot of Gianna Capilli, who fires and it goes through the hands of McGlynn and finds netting. The girl’s team would lose to the visiting Express.

On the boy’s side, the Wildcats saw a similar situation.

Early first half, a free kick from the corner goes on target. Lucas Warner can barely get a hand to it but it drops right to the chest of Spencer Wheeler, who finishes with ease.
Then, Wildcats can’t clear and it falls to the foot of Dominic Capilli who gets around 2 defenders and tucks it in the far post.
3 goals in the first 15 minutes of the 1st half, and the Express just didn’t stop. Johnson City boys fall, 5-0.
