Decorate your house for Fall at Owego Home

OWEGO, NY (WIVT/WBGH) – The Tioga County Chamber is spotlighting an Owego business, that’s getting your house decorated for Fall, and every season.

Owego Home on Front Street in the village, offers home furnishings, interior design tips, and staging services.

The business was started two years ago by owner Roger Hanson, who practiced interior design in London, before bringing his expertise to Owego.

He says his official Fall line will be revealed on the first Friday of October.

He says it’s the perfect time to start getting out your throw blankets, and maybe change the dinnerware to something more autumnal and cozier.

“I’m researching the design trends, I’m finding things that make me excited, that are really unique, that I think people can’t find anywhere else, and I’m bringing that to the Southern Tier. And we work, as most businesses, with seasonality. Fall is coming, the weather is changing, and it’s time to kind of look at our homes in a different way,” says Hanson.

Hanson says you can stop into the store to look at the plethora of decor, or you can schedule a free consultation and hire him to decorate your space.

Owego Home is starting a program called the Art Cycle, where businesses and homeowners can rent artwork created by local artists, to beautify their buildings.

He says the program should be up and running soon.
