ENDICOTT, N.Y. (WIVT/WBGH) – Owego was looking to get their season started, traveling to Union-Endicott to take on the Tigers who came off a big defeat last week.

U-E had their fans ready to make some noise in the home opener, but there wasn’t much to cheer for.
Late first quarter punt return. A little shake and bake and Jack Buchsbaum making some men miss. He’ll pick up some extra yards for the River Hawks.
Then Owego on the other side of a punt. Letting the ball bounce and bounce and be perfectly downed inside the 5.
On the ensuing Tiger drive, Joe Gennarelli rolls out but gets picked off by Caleb Cole. The senior’s off to the races and he won’t be caught. Finishes with a nice little dive into the endzone for the only 6 points of the half and the River Hawks are hype.

They would take that momentum and go on to win, 34-0.
