    Broome County small businesses receive grants from The Agency

    BROOME COUNTY, N.Y. (WIVT/WBGH) – The Agency has announced the recipients of grants meant to support existing small businesses that are still feelings the impacts of the pandemic.

    Back in June, Broome County allocated $500,000 of American Rescue Plan funding to a small business development grant program.

    Eligible recipients were for-profit businesses that are at least three years-old with 200 or fewer employees. Preference was given to minority, women and veteran-owned businesses.

    The maximum award was $50,000.

    15 companies are receiving grants: Eck Plastic Arts, Samscreen, DiRienzo Brothers Bakery, Triple Cities Metal Finishing, New York Pizzeria, CH Thompson Finishing and Creative Buzz, which owns 205 Dry and Uncorked Creations, all are getting the $50,000.

    Marchuska Productions, KLAW Industries, Ave Marie Catholic Shop and Ziebart are receiving in the neighborhood of $25,000.

    The Goldsmith and IdeaKraft are getting $15,000 each.

    And $10,000 is going to Caribbean Patty World and Binghamton Brewing Company.
