Smash and grab burglaries continue at Vestal Rail Trail

VESTAL, N.Y. (WIVT/WBGH) – There’s been another smash and grab car burglary near the Vestal Rail Trail.

Vestal Police confirm that someone smashed the window of a vehicle parked near the Coalhouse entrance to the walking trail and stole items a week ago on September 11.

This comes several months after a rash of such car break-ins at the Rail Trail, Arnold Park in Vestal and Otsiningo Park in the Town of Dickinson.

Police encourage people not to leave any valuables in sight when parking and locking their doors, and better yet, leaving valuables at home whenever possible.
