SIDNEY, N.Y. (WIVT/WBGH) – The Sidney Central School District is the latest victim of social media threats.

Superintendent of Schools Eben Bullock made an announcement on Wednesday regarding the situation.

The threats were allegedly made on Instagram and Facebook, mentioning the names of students attending Sidney as well as the Walton Central School District.

The four Sidney students that were identified were immediately placed into a safe space and their parents were contacted.

Local law enforcement was contacted as well and are currently investigating the post as a threat.

All after school activities have been cancelled.

Bullock says those with questions are encouraged to contact the district at (607)561-7700.
