JOHNSON CITY, N.Y. (WIVT/WBGH) – The West Family YMCA is getting ready for Halloween and is looking to the community for help in making this year the best one yet.

The YMCA is seeking volunteers for its annual Trunk or Treat event. Families and individuals can participate as “trunks” to give out candy.

Held on October 19, the family friendly event allows children of all ages to safely trick or treat from car to car. In addition, there will be games and activities for families and children of all ages.

To reserve you spot as a parked car from which people can trunk or treat, call the YMCA’s Membership Director Nicole Palmer at (607)770-9622 or email her at npalmer@ymcabroome.org. You can register as many vehicles as you’d like.

The West Family YMCA is located at 740 Main Street in Johnson City.
