State Route 17 closed in Owego for overturned tractor trailer

OWEGO, N.Y. (WIVT/WBGH) – A portion of State Route 17 is closed in the Town of Owego due to an overturned tractor trailer.

Early Thursday morning, New York State Police at Owego responded to State Route 17 in Owego for a report of a tractor trailer overturned.

According to police, the tractor trailer was traveling east when it went into the shoulder and off the roadway into a ditch then overturned. The driver suffered minor injuries.

The eastbound lane remains closed for removal of the fully loaded trailer.
