    Learn about ghostly history with Phelps Mansion

    BINGHAMTON, N.Y. (WIVT/WBGH) – Phelps Mansion’s annual hauntingly historical event is back for the month of October.

    Give Me a Sign – If the Dead Could Speak is returning to the Phelps Mansion Museum on Friday.

    The event will a look at the rise of spiritualism in the 19th century. Guests in attendance will tour the mansion and learn about its history. There will be a discussion on the origins of spirituality, some of the devices used to communicate with the deceased, the believers and detractors, how the spirits haunted literature with the birth of gothic horror, and more.

    The tour will also be held on October 11, October 12, October 18, October 19, October 25, and October 26.

    Tours start at 7 p.m. and run approximately 90 minutes. They are limited to 15 people at a time.

    Tickets to the tour are $20 general admission and $15 for Phelp Mansion Musuem Members. To purchase tickets, visit phelpsmansion.org .

    Phelps Mansion Musuem is located at 191 Court Street in Binghamton.
