CHENANGO FORKS, N.Y. (WIVT/WBGH) – In Class B boy’s soccer, Owego has been unstoppable this season. Scoring 50 goals and conceding 6, and being 10-0 on the season, this team is on a good track. Chenango Forks has been just as good, with their only season loss coming to the team they were about to face. So this game was shaping up to be fireworks.

It was a very back-and-forth game. Both teams had plenty of opportunities, with many in the 2nd half coming in favor of the River Hawks. A lot of the shots came off the boot of Zyir Van Scoy, but in regulation, none of them found the back of the net, whether it be a narrow miss or a big save from Nolan Sirgany.

However, in overtime, Owego’s pressure continued. Nearing the end of the first 10 minute OT, Vasil Brich was able to find the back of the net and secure the 1-0 win.
