BROOME COUNTY, NY (WIVT/WBGH) — This weekend, tour historic spaces and walk in the footsteps of those who built Broome County.

This weekend, Broome County will hold its annual Path Through History celebration. The event spans from Deposit’s Oktoberfest, the Village of Windsor Train Museum, Kilmer Mansion, and more, showcasing historic buildings, and highlighting our area’s rich history.

The event begins on Saturday, October 12, and runs through Monday, October 14, but the availability of tours may change based on the location. Senior Planner for Broome County’s Planning Department, Lora Zier says make sure to look at the fall foliage while you’re driving from one destination to the next.

“It is this profound connection to our heritage, and the desire to remind our community of our treasures that leads us all to Path Thru History weekend once again. And this weekend, we invite all of you to join us to in honoring the past, celebrating the present, and embracing the future,” Zier said.

There’s an interactive map, and a flier online with more information about the historic sites, and availability.

    Find them online at BroomeCountyNY.gov/PathThroughHistory.
