    Charles Edward Hiler, 85

    Charles Edward Hiler, of Brown County, Ohio passed away Sunday, August 25, 2024 at the age of 85 years and 117 days. He was born April 30, 1939 in Georgetown, Ohio to the late George and Lola (Lindsey) Hiler. Charles was married on Valentines Day 1959 to Mary Louise (Watson) Hiler and they were so proud to been married 40 years when she passed in 1999. He was a retired printer and proud steward of his land, which was part of his family farm that he worked on daily up to his passing. Charles believed in health and happiness through hard work and eating healthy. He almost always had a canine companion. His current dog, Maggie, enjoyed treats and walks. Charles was a 1957 graduate of the Mt.Orab High School and looked forward to and attending his class reunions, He was a member of the First Baptist Church on Mt.Orab, Ohio and a bible was always near him, the seldom times he was sitting inside his house. In addition to his parents and wife, Charles was preceded in death by three brothers – George Hiler, Jr., Jacob Lee Hiler and Bob Hiler and two sisters – Jean Pieper and Ann Strong.

    Mr. Hiler is survived by four loving children – Anna Beusterien and husband Dan of Hamersville, Ohio, Randy Hiler and wife Mary of New Vienna, Ohio, William “Bill” Hiler and wife Shannon of Hamersville, Ohio and John Hiler and wife Trish of Georgetown, Ohio; ten grandchildren – Matthew Beusterien, Hayley Beusterien (Alex Washington), Adam Hiler (Michelle), Amy Attinger (John), Alison Bond (Andrew), Lucas Hiler (Samantha), Noah Hiler, Ian Hiler, Matt Cooper (Amanda) and Ryan Cooper (MacKenzie); twelve great grandchildren – Jackson, Cassandra, Kenley, Reagan, Rylynn, Reesan, Roewan, Rozlyn, Larkyn, Kaylee, Ruth and Beckett and one brother – Frank Hiler and wife Susan of Williamsburg, Ohio. Charles was a great neighbor and had many dear friends through the years, including Brenda Turner whom he spoke with daily.

    Funeral services will be held at on Friday, August 30, 2024 at the Cahall Funeral Home in Georgetown, Ohio. Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. – 7:00 P.M. Thursday, August 29, 2024 at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Confidence Cemetery in Georgetown, Ohio.
