NFL: Cincinnati Bengals at Cleveland Browns

The Detroit Lions are planning to sign defensive end Isaiah Thomas off the Cincinnati Bengals' practice squad, ESPN reported Tuesday. The Lions need reinforcements on the edge after losing Pro Bowl pass rusher Aidan Hutchinson to a broken leg on Sunday. Thomas, 25, was a seventh-round draft pick by Cleveland in 2022 out of Oklahoma. He played in 10 games with the Browns that season and recorded one sack, one fumble recovery and nine tackles. Cleveland released Thomas during final roster cuts on Aug. 26 and he signed with Cincinnati's practice squad three days later. --Field Level Media
