Vegas man sentenced for threating to kill family member of federal official
A Las Vegas man was sentenced to 46 months in prison to be followed by three years of supervised release for leaving a threatening voicemail and text messages threatening to kill a family member of a then member of the U.S. House of Representatives.
County Commission approves $1M grant for 1-October memorial project
The Clark County Commission has voted to allocate a $1 million grant to the Vegas Strong Fund to assist with administrative and design services related to development of the community’s 1 October Memorial project.

A Las Vegas woman pled guilty Tuesday to multiple charges related to a crash that killed a father and son who were struck at a bus stop. Cynthia Phelps faces anywhere from two years to a maximum of 20 years in prison for each of the three counts.

Motorcyclist dies during Death Valley ride: heat complications suspected
A motorcyclist died Saturday after they were overcome by extreme heat while riding with a group of 6 in the Badwater Basin area of Death Valley Nation Park. One other rider was hospitalized. Four others in the group were examined and released.
Animal Foundation takes in more than 60 animals fleeing 4th of July fireworks
