Woman's body found in luggage: Metro asking for help

Las Vegas, NV (KXNT) – Las Vegas Metro Police are looking for leads after the discovery of a woman’s body last Thursday.

Police were called out to an apartment complex near Tropicana and Spencer on reports of a possible deceased person.

Upon arrival, officers discovered the body of a woman, identified as 46-year-ol Kristen Avelar, inside of a luggage bag.
