MARTINSBURG, WV - According to the National Weather Service (NWS) in Sterling, scattered showers and thunderstorms are forecast for today as a stalled front dissipates just east of the region.

Tonight, weak high pressure will build in from the Ohio River Valley, shifting to the central Appalachians on Monday, according to the NWS.

This will bring hot conditions, though humidity levels will remain manageable.

The chance of showers and thunderstorms will increase on Tuesday and Wednesday as another front moves into the region.

This front is expected to stall over the area later in the week as Tropical Cyclone Debby travels north through the Carolinas, according to the NWS.

Residents should prepare for changing weather conditions and stay updated with the latest forecasts.
