Polar Express Train Rides Returning to Cumberland

CUMBERLAND, MD - This holiday season, the Western Maryland Scenic Railroad invites families to experience the magic of The Polar Express™ Train Ride.

According to the Western Maryland Scenic Railroad, running from November 29th to December 24th, 2024, this festive journey brings the beloved story to life with music from the motion picture, hot chocolate, cookies, and a reading of The Polar Express™.

Passengers of all ages are encouraged to wear their favorite pajamas and immerse themselves in the holiday spirit.

Departing from Cumberland or Frostburg, the 60-minute ride transports passengers to the North Pole without disembarking.

Along the way, guests will enjoy complimentary hot chocolate and cookies, receive a commemorative silver sleigh bell, and, for those in Polar Lounge, Dome, First Class, and Table Class, a special ornament, according to the Western Maryland Scenic Railroad.

Dome, Lounge, and First Class passengers also receive a commemorative Polar Express mug.
