The legend of the Werewolf of Werewolf Springs has been a part of Tennessee folklore for well over a century.

According to information from Crytpid Wiki, this cryptid creature, always described as a werewolf, is said to roam the wooded areas around Burns, Tennessee, particularly in and around Montgomery Bell State Park in Dickson County.

The origins of this mysterious beast date back to just before the American Civil War.

According to local news station WKRN in Tennessee, a pack of these creatures escaped from their cages while being transported on a circus train.

Ever since, sporadic sightings and eerie encounters have kept the legend alive.

Though encounters are rare and brief, reports of unusual howling and snarling sounds have been noted in the area.

Sightings often occur near Halls Cemetery, which has gained the nickname "Werewolf Springs" due to the frequency of these reports, according to Cryptid Wiki.

Whether it’s just an eerie tale or something more, the Werewolf of Werewolf Springs continues to captivate the imagination of those who visit the area.
