    LORAIN, OH - According to a press release issued by the Ohio Lottery on Thursday, August 15, 2024, Mary Caudill, a resident of Lorain, is celebrating a life-changing win after securing the top prize on the Ohio Lottery’s Maximum Millions scratch-off.

    According to the press release, Mary claimed the annuity prize of $80,000 per year for 25 years, totaling $2,000,000. However, she opted for the cash option, taking home a lump sum of $1,000,000.

    After the mandatory state and federal tax withholdings of 28 percent, her final payout is $720,000.

    The lucky ticket was purchased at Pearl Ave Exxon, located at 5411 Pearl Ave in Lorain.

    Mary, who is overjoyed by her win, has already made plans for her newfound wealth. She intends to buy a house and cars for her children, ensuring that the win benefits her entire family.

    Maximum Millions is a $20 scratch-off game with a top prize of $2,000,000. As of August 15, 2024, there are still two top prizes remaining.
