    COLUMBUS, OH - According to a press release issued by the Ohio Lottery on Friday, August 23, 2024, a lucky Columbus resident recently struck it big, winning $10,000 with the Ohio Lottery's Money Maker scratch-off ticket. The winning ticket was purchased at Giant Eagle #6504, located at 4747 Sawmill Road in Columbus.

    After the mandatory state and federal taxes, totaling 28 percent, the winner will take home approximately $7,200.

    According to the press release, Money Maker is a popular $30 scratch-off game that offers players a chance to win a top prize of $80,000 per year for 25 years. As of August 22, there are still five top prizes remaining in the game, giving other hopefuls a chance to cash in.
