Tennessee SSI Recipients to Receive January 2025 Payments in December

KNOXVILLE, TN - Social Security recipients in Tennessee, like in other states, will receive their January 2025 benefits early, with payments being disbursed in December 2024.

According to the Social Security Administration, this schedule adjustment ensures that recipients do not experience delays due to the holiday season.

Recipients whose birth dates fall between the 1st and 10th will receive their payments on the second Wednesday of the month.

Those with birth dates between the 11th and 20th will be paid on the third Wednesday, while recipients born between the 21st and 31st will receive their payments on the fourth Wednesday, according to the Social Security Administration.

For December 2024, these payments will be issued earlier to account for the New Year’s Day holiday, which can interfere with normal payment processing.
