The evening of April 2 saw police responding to an incident of a missing 16-year-old girl reported from the quiet corner of S Hoover St and W 48th St one block away from Figueroa Blvd.

She was last seen at around 5:30 pm wearing a blue shirt, blue pants, and pink sandals. She is 5’3,” 85 lbs, with black hair and brown eyes.

The girl is still missing and any reports of her whereabouts should be reported to 911 immediately.

According to reports, her mental capacity is closer to an 8-year-old’s, making her especially vulnerable and in need of care.

A Pattern of Missing Girls Emerges

The day before, at 1:27 am, another girl was reported missing one block away, at S Hoover St and W 49th St.

She is Black, 5’9,” 130 lbs, with black hair and brown eyes. She was seen wearing a hooded sweater and jeans.

Police are also looking for this girl. Report sightings to 911 immediately.

How is it that multiple girls could be missing 24 hours apart in one block?

We hope both return home safely and the incident is over quickly for these children and their families.
