    Midtown Tunnel closures commence this week as MTA works on paving road

    (MANHATTAN, N.Y.) The Metropolitan Transportation Authority is set to begin repaving Midtown Tunnel's roads this month.

    CBS New York reports that the Manhattan-bound tube will be closed from 11 p.m. on Friday to 5 a.m. on Monday, April 19.

    Additionally, the Queens-bound tube will be closed the following weekend, from April 23 to April 26.

    However, one tunnel will stay open with one lane in each direction during the closures, said the MTA.
