(QUEENS, N.Y.) Officials arrested a woman at John F. Kennedy International Airport in Queens after they discovered she was in possession of $94,000 worth of cocaine, according to PIX 11.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) officers had examined passengers entering New York from a flight from Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic last Friday, authorities said.

Yerlina Hernandez DeNova, one of the passengers who faced examination, was discovered to be carrying three pellets filled with a white powder in her purse, officials said.

She was then taken to a private search room where officers held a physical search, CBP officials said.

Officers located pellets filled with a white powder in her bra during the search, where DeNova confessed to officers to tucking a number of pellets into her body as well, according to authorities.

Officers confirmed the powder to be cocaine after testing a sample, officials said.

CBP officers confiscated 100 pellets of white powder, about three pounds worth of cocaine worth $94,000, authorities said.

DeNova faces charges of importing a controlled substance into the United States and federal narcotics smuggling charges, officials said.
