(QUEENS, N.Y.) A new housing lottery for 124 mixed-income units has opened up in Jamaica Hills, Queens. The apartments are located at 82-41 Parsons Boulevard.

6sqft reports that the development, known as the "T building," was a former hospital that has now been converted into apartments. The building has 200 units available for formerly homeless New Yorkers and low- to moderate-income households.

New Yorkers earning 60% and 100% of the area median income (AMI) are eligible to apply for the income-restricted apartments. Prices range from $885/month for studios to $2,215/month for three bedrooms.

Hot water and gas are included in the rent — however, tenants will be responsible for electricity.

The building's amenities include a library and computer room, private balconies, outdoor sun terraces, a gym and a shared laundry room. Additionally, there will be on-site social services, community spaces, an attended lobby, a playground and a parking lot with 100 spaces, reported 6sqft.

The building's developer previously said the restoration would be completed by July 2021.

Qualifying New Yorkers can apply for the housing units until June 16. Preference for 50% of the units will be given to residents of Queens Community Board 8.

For more information on how to apply visit housingconnect.nyc.gov, or call NYC’s Housing Connect department by dialing 311.
