Discovery Bay man critically injured after fall from palm tree

(DISCOVERY BAY, Calif.) A Discovery Bay man was critically injured Sunday after he fell 20 feet from a palm tree at his Discovery Bay home, East Bay Times reports.

The man was then airlifted to a nearby hospital.

The incident happened at approximately 8 p.m. in the 5300 block of River Point.

The man was in serious condition when paramedics arrived at the scene, after he fell onto a concrete driveway.

Emergency responders moved the man to a nearby soccer field where he was picked up by a medical helicopter.
