(MANHATTAN, N.Y.) An Uber driver is in critical condition after he was attacked by a group of people on Sunday.

According to CBS New York, the incident happened around 12:20 a.m. near 138th Street and Jamaica Avenue when a group member reportedly threw a glass bottle at the driver. The driver sustained injuries to his head and face.

Police say he was attacked after the group got angry because he wouldn't allow them all into his car, per ABC NY 7.
