Jake Paul knocking out former UFC/MMA fighter Ben AskrenDazn
As a combat sports enthusiast, I honestly hate the fact that I am reporting on this.
With that said, Youtube influencer Jake Paul is back in the headlines. This time with an update on who he will be facing in his next boxing match. In his last time in the squared circle, Jake went against former UFC fighter Ben Askren and knocked him out in less than 2 minutes.

Askren clearly did not take the fight seriously and we saw that with how he looked at the weigh in's for the fight which is neither here nor there at this point. But he paid heavily for it, While also getting paid heavily for it might I add.

Tyron Woodley has entered the chat
It was announced Tuesday, June 1st that Jake Pauls's next boxing match will be against another former UFC fighter, This time in the form of Former UFC Welterweight Champion, Tyron Woodley.
Before the Askren vs Paul fight, it was In the locker room of Jake Paul where we saw Woodley, who was cornering Askren that night, Be in the locker room to examine the hand wrapping process. It was there where we see Woodley get into a back and forth conversation between Jake and one of his trainers, Super Middleweight Pro boxer J'Leon Love who has a record of 24-3-1.
During the argument, Jake and Love were joking about how Woodley has been on a recent losing streak and you can see Woodley barking back telling them that he "does not play these games"
Love tried to state who he was to Woodley and even stated that he "has belts" when comparing careers, Although looking into his record it shows that is not the case and he has not fought for a professional title. So there's that.
Regardless, it seemed that that brief interaction was all it would take for the casuals to get excited over a fight between Woodley and either Love or Paul, But it was the bigger money match between Paul and Woodley that was chosen, Of course.
Woodley and Ben Asken are two completely different fighters. Askren has zero boxing ability and should have never even fought Paul but thought his toughness and experience in combat sports would win it alone. Woodley on the other hand has been known for a handful of devastating knockouts in his career. Including the knockout punch that won him the Welterweight title against Robbie Lawler.

Although Woodley has been on a long 4 fight losing streak in MMA and was even recently released by the UFC after his most recent loss to Vicente Luque by submission, I'm pretty sure Woodley will be the most heavy-handed fighter Jake will get him by. Training partners included.
Its been shown that Paul has a lot of "Yes-Men" around him including the training partners he has and they aren't there to beat him up but make him feel good. Woodley on the other hand will be coming into this fight literally trying to take Jakes's head off and would not feel one bit bad about it.
Now is Woodley's boxing amazing?
From a BOXING standpoint not exactly. The technique of an actual boxer is not there and mostly relies on his overhand right punch more than he does any other strike which could be seen and predictable, to REAL boxers. And yes I am saying Jake Paul is Not a real boxer.
Woodley can hit and he hits hard. Going back to how Ben Askren's shape was coming into his fight with Paul, I can guarantee Woodley comes into this fight in great shape as he is usually in good shape year-round.
It is something to note that Woodley stated himself that this will be the biggest payday of his career and also claims this will be the easiest fight of his career. I agree.
Now he just needs to make me and the rest of the die-hard combat sports fans very happy and get this job done, and quickly.
Fight Date
The official announced date for the fight is set for August 28th later this year and will be televised on Showtime.
