Birria Truck Serves Up Amazing Food On A Hillsboro Corner: How to Enjoy A Weeknight Dinner
2021-06-05
A close friend told me about the OG Birreria food truck and the delightful food she had recently. She and her daughter thoroughly enjoyed their visit, so I knew I had to check it out!
So, my husband and I decided to check it out on a random Thursday night. Little did we know how busy this truck would be.
If you love trying and discovering new food trucks, this place is for you!
First of all, this truck has the most beautiful set up I have ever seen. They have a menu with fantastic photos on the side. It is easy to read and makes you very hungry.
They also have a beautiful patio set up with new fencing, a roof, light fixtures, clean and organized tables, and chairs if you want to eat your food there. It was so pretty, and we will have to come back and experience it one evening.
Their truck is shining, bright, and spotless. It is a beautiful sight when a place is clean because it gives me confidence in the quality of their food and how much they care about their establishment.
The owner told us the patio looks really spectacular when it is all lit up at night.
We ordered a variety of food and drinks to go to experience the glory of this food mecca.
They concentrate on having a variety of dishes themed around birria, a shredded, soft beef.
We ended up ordering the sauve tacos, gorditas, torta, queso birria tacos, birria ramen, a pineapple water and an horchata. They have us a device that lights up and vibrates when our food is ready.
I appreciate that we had time to walk around the neighborhood on this lovely evening while waiting for our food.
They were all delicious, but my favorites were the gorditas. These are soft pillow-like, freshly made thick tortillas with their shredded beef birria inside. I love that they included different salsas to try as well.
My husband absolutely loved the birria ramen. It has a very flavorful broth, a generous amount of noodles, and toppings like chopped onions, radishes, and cilantro.
Their torta is fantastic as well. It had a nice portion of birria along with soft bread, salsa, and condiments galore.
I also love how they packaged their drinks. They come in quart containers with a straw hole in the middle. This is a big drink!
They often change their drink flavors. My friend said that she and her daughter got to try their strawberry horchata which was made with fresh strawberries. I hope to try that someday!
Their pineapple water had a lovely flavor without being too sweet. My son really enjoyed their horchata, which is a rice drink slightly sweetened and flavored with cinnamon.
We look forward to returning to this truck again soon to try more of their offerings. They have a very inventive birria pizza, tacos dorados, queso birria platter with meat, rice, and beans, mulitas (small cheese and meat tostadas), fried plantains, and churros.
I love how creative and inventive they are with their menu. It all focuses on the excellent quality of their birria with small twists.
There are many more options and combinations for us to explore next time!
You can order their food directly from the food stall or for delivery through GrubHub.
