Floyd Mayweather VS Logan Paul spectacle ends in draw, Sort of

Floyd Mayweather lands a lead left uppercut on Youtuber Logan PaulShowtime

It was Sunday, June 6th where we saw a night of boxing that ended with the main event that had arguably the greatest boxer of all time in Floyd Mayweather taking on Youtube star, Yes. Youtube Star, Logan Paul in an 8 round exhibition bout.

The fight was announced a few months ago and had just about zero hype behind it up until a media day that happened on May 6th where the younger brother of Logan Paul, Jake Paul was in a face-off with Floyd and decided to take his hat and run away while yelling "I got your hat I got your hat". Which ended up resulting in Floyd and his entourage chasing down the younger Paul brother and getting some shots in on him before security was able to take Jake to a back room.

Jake is set to face former UFC Welterweight champion Tyron Woodley in August.

Now going back to Logan vs Floyd. To start, the bout was only an exhibition match where we saw no judges and was even set to no specific weight class so we saw Logan weigh in at 189 pounds and Floyd weighing in at 150 pounds which is his heaviest in a long time of competing.

Logan Paul came out to the song “From Now On” from The Greatest Showman even while wearing an original base set Charizard Pokemon card around his neck. Which is also my favorite Pokemon ever so as much as i may dislike this whole event I thought that was pretty dope.

Floyd came out while having a live performance as he usually does, this time by The Migo's.

After the fighters were introduced to the crowd the match got underway and it was honestly comical to see the size difference between the two competitors. Just as expected we saw Floyd take the patient approach where he didn't pick it up until the later rounds. In round one we saw the inexperienced Paul paw at Floyd and even rushed him with a flurry of punches before the round ended, Although im pretty sure not one of them landed.

It was the later in round 4 where we saw Floyd start to pick up his pace and Logan start to slow down from exhaustion but was still going punch for punch and even landed a few stiff shots that Floyd wasn't able to avoid

The last 4 rounds were more of the same and we saw Floyd make Logan miss time and time again and landed his signature counter shots over and over while Logan tried to tie up Floyd when he couldn't get anything of significance off on his own.

The fight ends and as I said in the beginning there were no judges to choose a winner but me being someone who watches combat sports religiously it was pretty easy to score the fight for Floyd. Even more so when looking at the punch stats where it showed that Logan landed less than 15% of his jabs and power shots combined
